The Benefits of a Home Inspection

The prospect of a home inspection can evoke many feelings within a real estate transaction. Buyers usually want one, and sellers are usually nervous about what it might dredge up. If you’re that seller, should you order one?

The answer is yes, yes you should. Get it done up front, that way it can ease any and all concerns of all parties involved. If there’s anything on that inspection, you can get a head start and take care of it. There is no need for a buyer or realtor to say, "I wonder what's wrong with this one" when they see your listing. You can present with confidence and they can feel safe to invest in your home.
Getting a home inspection may eliminate surprises.
As a seller, getting a home inspection may eliminate surprises. It gives you a chance to meet with the inspector yourself and perform any necessary preventative maintenance. What we usually do with our clients is attach a copy of the inspection to the MLS listing so that when the buyer comes out to the property, they and their agent can see proof that your house is a problem-free home.
