Is Zillow Accurate in Florida?

Today, we’ll be talking about Zillow’s home estimates and how they affect the Florida real estate market. Are Zestimates accurate or not? Everyone, including buyers and sellers alike, wants to know!

I would say only sometimes Zillow is accurate. We’ve seen the estimate off by 5% to 20%, and sometimes even more.

If you’re a seller, the problem could be overpricing or underpricing, resulting in a lot of hard earned equity left on the table. In these cases, homes sit on the market without sufficient buyer activity. For buyers, you could overpay or lose a great property because you don’t understand its market value in today’s marketplace.

To understand home value, the best way is through a real estate professional. Work with a competent Realtor or appraiser to find the true market value of your property.
