2020 is wrapping up and we have our third-quarter statistics to share—I can assure you, our real estate market is strong! Despite the pandemic, the numbers are high. Sales have increased by 44% while prices have risen 17% compared to this time last year, and inventory has decreased by 61.5% since this time in 2019.
If you’re even considering selling within the next year, now may be the best time. Low inventory means less competition—your home will stand out and be seen by the most motivated buyers of the year. Buyers who are active in the market right now want to close soon so they can be in their new homes by the holidays, or at least enjoy it throughout the season. Other buyers may want to close by year’s end for tax purposes.

Also, keep in mind that tons of buyers can’t find what they like and are just waiting for the right property to come onto the market. We’re seeing multiple offers, and some homes are selling over asking price. Now is a wonderful time to be a seller.
