With the election behind us, today I wanted to take a closer look at what our real estate market looks like. If you’re a home seller, this is good news for you.

There’s also a lot to be excited about. Everybody was waiting until after the election to do anything and now, today, that wait is over. We won’t see the effects of this new administration for another six to 12 months, so it’s important to focus on what our market can do for us today.
While we’re all watching Wall Street, the good news is that interest rates are still low and buyers still have lots of choices today.
We anticipate a flood of inventory during the next 30 to 60 days.
As a seller, it’s important to note that there is less inventory in the market today since all of your neighbors have been waiting to list their homes and some may not list until after the holidays. We anticipate a flood of inventory during the next 30 to 60 days. This means that if you were to sell your home today, you’d stand to sell faster and at a higher price than if you waited until next year.
All things considered, we believe that there is pent-up demand from buyers, so we’ll see this in the next 30 to 60 days. Anyone who has been sitting on the fence waiting is now getting back into the market. There is also a shadow inventory that will be hitting the market after the first of the year, so sellers who take advantage of this opportunity today will see more serious buyers who want to be in a home for the holiday season. Would you rather be closed by January or just getting started?
Buyers still want to escape the snow and the cold winter to come to our sunny beaches, so if you could sell your home now at the right price, is there any reason not to? Today may be the best time to start making decisions about all of your real estate needs. If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call or send us an email. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
